Rod’s Pots was born from an unexpected spark and a very loyal supervisor.

I am Aaron Thompson, and what started as a simple curiosity signing up for a six-week pottery class quickly became something much deeper. From the first moment at the wheel, I was in love. What began as a hobby transformed over two years into a true passion: shaping clay into pieces that feel alive, personal, and meant to be part of everyday moments.

At home, every piece is created in small batches, carefully wheel-thrown by hand. And I’m never working alone. My inspiration and quality control manager is Rodney, my beloved wiener dog. He’s always by my side, reminding me to slow down, enjoy the process, and create with joy. Every piece that leaves my hands carries that spirit.

Rod’s Pots is about more than ceramics, it’s about bringing warmth, character, and a bit of happiness into your daily routine. Each piece is unique, made with intention, and crafted to be used, loved, and lived with.

When you choose Rod’s Pots, you’re not just buying pottery you’re bringing home a piece of a story, a passion, and a little joy (Rodney-Approved).
